Thomas Moeser was born in Neuburg an der Donau. During his school years, he began drawing in a naturalistic style at an early age and produced his first oil paintings.
He subsequently took his A-levels and studied art education at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (LMU).
During this time, he trained under the sculptor Rudolf Rotter and the painter Peter Zeiler.
After passing his state examination, he began a PhD and was appointed as a research assistant at the Chair of Art Education. He was appointed as a lecturer at LMU and later led art seminars in Italy and France.
During this period, he held his first successful exhibitions and galleries took notice of his works. He decided to focus entirely on art. Many exhibitions in Germany followed, as well as others in France, Spain and other European countries.
As a freelance artist, he initially focused on etching and was established in the art market. In the early 2000s, his first exhibitions took place in the USA (New York) and in Australia (Melbourne).
His works are held in public and private collections.
He lives and works in Munich and in Torre San Marco, Italy.
